Back to topAn EICR can only be conducted by a qualified electrician such as Stator Electrical Solutions. We have the right credentials, skill and experience when it comes to carrying out electrical inspections at various properties and commercial businesses premises. We understand the nature of electrical requirements can vary from business to business, requiring extra attention in some cases such as factories, warehouses and restaurants where there is higher use of electrical appliances and machinery.
Many of our clients take the responsibility of an EICR very seriously and do ensure an EICR is conducted every 5 years as stated by UK law. This applies to landlords or property agents with rental properties and to most commercial businesses in Langford.
An EICR is an extensive inspection of the electrical installations at a property. Features such as lighting, switches, plug sockets and the fuse board or consumer unit are thoroughly assessed. Additional electrical features such as EV chargers, solar panels and heated flooring will also form part of the inspection. The purpose of the inspection is to identify any faults or hazards which could be potentially dangerous, causing damage to the property of people on site.
Back to topElectrical faults we do identify are assigned a classification code according to how severe the fault is.
C1- The fault identified is highly dangerous and could lead to serious risk or harm, we will endeavour to make any C1 faults safe before leaving the premises.
C2-Faults identified are potentially dangerous.
FI-Further investigation required immediately.
C3- Further work is not recommended but improvements could be made.
Initially, one of the team will conduct a visual inspection to identify any possible signs of electrical faults or damage caused by wear and tear. Degradation through use is very common in commercial businesses such as cafes, gyms and sports centres in Langford but this is the benefit of having an experienced electrician conduct an EICR.
Next, we run a number of tests or dead testing, this is carried out once the mains power is disconnected. Our experienced electricians then look for faults within circuits, insulation resistance and connectivity.
Once the inspection is complete, we create a detailed EICR report which highlights the faults identified and suggestions for remedial work which should be rectified within 28 days.
A copy should be kept on site and provided to tenants if the premises is a rental property.
As fully qualified NICEIC approved contractors, inspections and any repair work are in line with UK industry regulations. We know how disruptive any building or electrical work can be, our electricians work swiftly and in a tidy manner, you won’t even notice we’re on site in Langford.
