The village of Draycott in Derbyshire lies 6 miles east of Derby and 3 miles southwest of Long Eaton. The southwestern border of the village is formed by the River Derwent.
Draycott was once the base of Victoria Mill. In 1888 the mill was built but closed its doors for the last time in 1970. Akin to many old mills in Derbyshire, Victoria Mill has since been converted into flats as the building itself was still in its entirety.
